Children In Need - Doctor Who Sections and Introduction

 Children In Need is back tonight with a TV Marathon! Doctor Who will play a part once again in the marathon. Here is the full line up. 

Part 1

7.00-7.30

The nation's sweetheart, Cheryl Cole, gets the party started with a dazzling show-opener, and Formula 1 stars Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button team up to give some young carers an unforgettable experience.

7.30-8.00

Westlife wow the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, Merlin has some wizard fundraising ideas and the Hairy Bikers cook up a sizzling version of Meat Loaf's Bat out of Hell.

8.00-8.30

Kylie Minogue performs live in the studio and The Saturdays take on McFly in a glittering popstar edition of Strictly Come Dancing.

8.30-9.00

The Doctor and Amy throw a tea-party in the TARDIS and serve up a sneak-peek at this year's Doctor Who Christmas special, plus The One Show's Alex Jones hosts the Children in Need celebrations at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

9.00-9.30

JLS perform the official Children in Need single, and TV history is made as EastEnders and Coronation Street unite for the first time ever. Walford's residents hit the cobbles of Weatherfield, and Rovers regulars turn up on Albert Square in an exclusive mini-episode just for Children in Need.

9.30-10.00

John Barrowman hosts a fantastic musical fundraiser from Glasgow, and the stars of Harry Potter work their magic for Children in Need. Plus a spectacular live and exclusive performance from Take That.


Part Two

10.40-11.00

The BBC newsreaders recruit dance supremo Louie Spence to create a headline-grabbing routine, and temperatures rise in a Come Dine With Me Dragons' Den special.

11.00-11.30

The party continues all over the UK as Irish favourites The Script raise the roof at The Odyssey in Belfast, plus Peter Andre performs a thrilling tribute to Michael Jackson.

11.30-12.00

The cast of Priscilla put on a show-stopping performance live in the studio, and the stars of Loose Women sing their version of a Girls Aloud classic.

12.00-12.30

Blue Peter adventurer Helen Skelton takes on the role of Baby in the hit musical Dirty Dancing and McFly rock the Scottish Exhibition Centre in Glasgow.

12.30-01.00

An exclusive Children in Need performance from West-End smash Phantom of the Opera.

01.00-02.00

Get ready for Pudsey's Greatest Hits, a celebration of Children in Need's most memorable moments from the last 30 years.

Plus the grand total for the 2010 fundraising spectacular is revealed.

 

Doctor Who - Christmas Special and Series Six Details

 Christmas Special: A Christmas Carol by Steven Moffat
Amy and Rory are on their honeymoon during the episode, and run into trouble when the pleasure cruise spaceship they’re travelling on finds itself under attack from “something very nasty”. The spaceship is orbiting an alien planet, which is where the Doctor is for a considerate part of the story. This therefore causes Amy and Rory to be separated from the Time Lord for the majority of the episode.

Doctor Who Experience - London 2011-2012

Doctor Who star Matt Smith is surrounded by images of his predecessors in a new permanent exhibition charting the shows 47-year history.

The Doctor Who Experience opens in London's Olympia on February 20 before moving to Cardiff in 2012.
